San Diego Mommy and Me offers a 7-week supportive and educational group series for new moms and their babies. The program is guided by therapists and is grounded in shared experience, with groups centered around the moms. Former group members refer to San Diego Mommy and Me as an absolutely essential postpartum experience and describe it as a modernized “mommy and me” where moms go to build lifelong friendships and feel seen, heard, and “sane” again.

San Diego Mommy and Me was created and is led by licensed therapists specializing in maternal mental health. Founder and facilitator Renata Cameron is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a mom of two. Group facilitator and former group alum Reilley Valenzona is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in maternal mental health and also a mom of two. The leadership team has former board volunteer experience with the San Diego Postpartum Health Alliance.
The program’s stated mission is to make sure moms do not have to parent alone and to support them in navigating the ups, downs, and in-betweens of motherhood, with the goal of leaving them feeling empowered in their new role.
