Fox Studio Dance and Gymnastics offers a wide range of dance and gymnastics classes, including options such as BEST FRIENDS A Creative Class with Mom/Dad, PRINCESS BALLET, TUTU CUTIES 1 and 2 Combination Tap & Ballet Classes, STARLIGHT BALLET Pre-Ballet Class, and BALLET 1 at both beginning and intermediate levels. Students can also take HIP HOP at a beginning/intermediate level, JAZZ 1 and JAZZ 2, TAP 1 and TAP 2/3, CONTEMPORARY JAZZ at an advanced level, and multiple levels of gymnastics from GYMNASTICS 1 Basic Beginning Level through GYMNASTICS 5-6 Advanced Level, as well as TUMBLE BEARS and TUMBLE TOTS light tumbling and acro. Additional class offerings include Hip Hop, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, Gymnastics, Cheer, Princess Ballet, Ballet, Tumble Tots, Best Friends, Bachata, and Salsa.

Fox Studio Dance and Gymnastics states that its mission is to provide a quality dance and gymnastics education in a positive environment that fosters self-esteem, individuality, creativity, and a passion for learning that will last a lifetime. The studio also states that it strives to provide good service and take care of the details of attending classes and lessons so they are hassle-free and enjoyable, and that it creates an environment which allows students to progress at their own pace and gain understanding of their craft.
The leadership team includes Studio Director Susan Maryn, Business Manager and Instructor Robert Calderon, and Assistant Director Chelsea Cano. Susan is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University with degrees in Dance and Radio/Television Production, has choreographed and performed for numerous television shows, commercials, and stage productions, has performed with the Dallas Civic Ballet, Havana Fama, and on many USO tours, is a graduate of the Los Angeles Trade Tech Nursing program, holds active credentials as a Registered Nurse, and has won numerous trophies for her costume designs in regional and national dance competitions. Robert studied at the Edge Dance Center in Hollywood with many top choreographers, appeared on the TV show “Fascilisimo!”, worked as a choreographer/performer with Havana Fama Dance and Theatrical Company, and his students have won many awards at local dance competitions throughout the Southland.
Assistant Director Chelsea Cano is listed as part of the leadership team. Staff member Brei began dancing at Cypress Academy of Dance and Gymnastics at age 3, later joined the competition team and concert dance group at Joee School of Dance, studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern, began teaching 3rd and 4th graders there, performed with Keith Cross’s Texas Dance Theater Company in “Dance Salad” alongside members of the Houston Ballet and Belgium Ballet Companies, continued dance and teaching studies at Colby College, joined the CDT dance company, performed and choreographed two main stage productions, and helped develop a community service project to provide dance classes for Waterville students. Staff member Natali Nemeth has over 7 years of customer service experience and has been with Fox Studio of Dance on and off since October 2017.
Acting instructor Verneé Watson is an Emmy-winning acting instructor and a seasoned actress who has appeared in hundreds of TV shows, commercials, and movies, is known for her role as Will Smith’s mom in “Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” and has also appeared on “Welcome Back Kotter,” “Jessie,” “Aunt Farm,” “Two and a Half Men,” and has a recurring role on “General Hospital.” Lauryn Rodriguez has been dancing and doing gymnastics for 17 years, started training at Fox Studio in gymnastics, tap, ballet, and hip-hop, further studied at Jayvee Dance Center in tap, jazz funk, contemporary, and hip-hop, competitively danced hip-hop with Teen Groove, Junior Hit-List, and Downey Dance Team, studied with GRaVy babies, taught as a CTE assistant for Downey High School’s Dance 2 program, studied the History of Hip-Hop and the general History of Dance at Long Beach City College, and taught and wrote the curriculum for Barbizon of Hollywood’s Dance Program.
Jenny Camacho began dancing at age five, started private lessons at age eight, continues to study jazz, ballet, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, and lyrical, was a member of Downey High School’s competitive dance team and won multiple national titles, was awarded 1st place in the state for her choreographic piece with the Reflections association, graduated from Cerritos College with an A.A. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in dance, was accepted to California State University of Northridge to receive her B.A., has performed professionally around the U.S. with KAR dance conventions, danced in multiple halftime shows for professional teams such as the Clippers and Chivas, continues to perform at her university’s main stage and other dance productions, worked with the Martha Graham Dance Company and attended their workshops, and began choreographing and teaching for competitive dance studios as a teenager. Kiana Delgado has been dancing since age 4 and competing since age 9 with Fox Studio Dance and Gymnastics, was trained in Gymnastics, Acro, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, and Contemporary, was on her high school dance team for 4 years where they competed in high school level competitions, and is in college working toward a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Adolescent with a minor in dance.
Juliet began dancing at age 3, trained extensively in ballet for over 12 years, later expanded into hip hop and jazz funk, and developed a love for ballroom, salsa, and bachata. In high school, Juliet was a member of the competitive dance team and show choir at Granada Hills Charter High School and choreographed for multiple musicals, and in college worked with the Boston University Drama Club creating original choreography for stage productions.
Parent feedback includes comments such as a parent whose daughter has been dancing at Fox Studio since age 2 and is now 15, describing the instructors as very patient and professional and stating that the owners care for all the students. Another parent states that their daughter loves Fox Studio, enjoys learning new moves, loved being part of a recital, and has taken Hip Hop and is now trying ballet, and describes the teachers and staff as super friendly. Additional comments mention that someone is always available to answer questions, that there are plenty of classes to accommodate a parent’s busy schedule, and that a child has been taking classes with Ms. Bethany and Ms. Samantha and loves it.
