Fox Studio Dance and Gymnastics offers a range of dance and gymnastics classes, including creative classes with a parent, ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary jazz, tumbling, acro, and multiple levels of gymnastics. Specific classes include BEST FRIENDS A Creative Class with Mom/Dad, PRINCESS BALLET Basic Ballet, TUTU CUTIES 1 and 2 combination tap and ballet classes, STARLIGHT BALLET pre-ballet, BALLET 1 and BALLET 2, JAZZ 1 and JAZZ 2, TAP 1 and TAP 2/3, HIP HOP at beginning/intermediate levels, CONTEMPORARY JAZZ Advanced Level, and GYMNASTICS levels 1 through 6. The program includes light tumbling and acro options such as TUMBLE BEARS and TUMBLE TOTS, as well as beginning through advanced gymnastics classes.

Fox Studio Dance and Gymnastics states that it believes in providing a quality dance and gymnastics education in a positive environment that fosters self-esteem, individuality, creativity, and a passion for learning that will last a lifetime. The studio also states that it strives to provide good service and take care of all the details of attending classes and lessons so they are hassle-free and enjoyable, and that it creates an environment which allows students to progress at their own pace and gain understanding of their craft. The leadership team includes Studio Director Susan Maryn, Business Manager and Instructor Robert Calderon, and Assistant Director Chelsea Cano. Susan is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University with degrees in Dance and Radio/Television Production, has choreographed and performed for television shows, commercials and stage productions, has performed with the Dallas Civic Ballet, Havana Fama and on many USO tours, is a graduate of the Los Angeles Trade Tech Nursing program, holds active credentials as a Registered Nurse, and has won numerous trophies for costume designs in regional and national dance competitions. Brei began dancing at age 3 at Cypress Academy of Dance and Gymnastics, later joined competition and concert groups at Joee School of Dance, taught 3rd and 4th graders there, performed with Keith Cross’s Texas Dance Theater Company in “Dance Salad,” continued dance and teaching studies at Colby College, performed and choreographed with the CDT dance company, and helped develop a community service project to provide dance classes for Waterville students. Robert studied at the Edge Dance Center in Hollywood, appeared on the TV show “Fascilisimo!”, performed and choreographed with Havana Fama Dance and Theatrical Company, and his students have won many awards at local dance competitions throughout the Southland.
Ms. Vernee’ has appeared in hundreds of TV shows, commercials, and movies, is known for playing Will Smith’s mom in “Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” and has also appeared on “Welcome Back Kotter,” “Jessie,” “Aunt Farm,” “Two and a Half Men,” and has a recurring role on “General Hospital.” Natali Nemeth has over 7 years of customer service experience and has been with Fox Studio Dance on and off since October 2017. Kiana Delgado has been dancing since age 4 and competing since age 9 with Fox Studio Dance and Gymnastics, was trained in gymnastics, acro, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and contemporary, was on her high school dance team for 4 years where they competed in high school level competitions, and is in college pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Adolescent with a minor in dance. Juliet trained in ballet for over 12 years before expanding into hip hop and jazz funk, developed a love for ballroom, salsa, and bachata, was on the competitive dance team and show choir at Granada Hills Charter High School where she choreographed for multiple musicals, and in college created choreography for Boston University Drama Club stage productions.
The program’s stated credentials and awards include numerous trophies for costume designs in regional and national dance competitions, many awards earned by Robert’s students at local dance competitions throughout the Southland, multiple national titles won as part of a Downey High School competitive dance team, and a 1st place in the state award for a choreographic piece with the Reflections association. One instructor helped develop a community service project to provide dance classes for Waterville students.
Parent testimonials report that one child has been dancing at Fox Studio since age 2 and is now 15, and describe instructors as patient and professional and the owners as caring for all the students.
