Bay Jiu-Jitsu Kids Program and Camps includes kids summer camps that are open to kids from ages 7–15 and balance technical martial arts instruction with high-energy games. The program offers comprehensive, focused, and engaging grappling and self defense classes for both competitive and recreational practitioners, and many members practice for fun, fitness, and overall self-defense. Bay Jiu-Jitsu offers world-class kids and adults programs and a wide range of classes to support students from all backgrounds and levels, with flexible pricing that includes discounts for teachers, first responders, full-time students, and low-income families.
Bay Jiu-Jitsu was created in 2008 and grew to four locations throughout the Bay Area over ten years before COVID in 2020 forced the closure of three of the four gyms, and Bay Jiu-Jitsu is now back and fully operational. The kids program and camps are part of Bay Jiu-Jitsu, LLC ©2025. The program is led by Founder and Co-Head Coach Stephan Goyne, who has been training and competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 1998, received his black belt in 2010 after winning numerous gold medals at brown belt level in national and international tournaments including the IBJJF American Nationals, East Coast NAGA, and the American Cup, and later expanded his training into SAMBO and Combat Wrestling, winning the FICW Masters World Championships. Stephan also won gold for the USA in the Veterans 2016 Combat Wrestling World Championships in Hungary and placed second the following year in Japan.
Bay Jiu-Jitsu exists to provide people with the tools and training they need to build confidence and strength in all aspects of their lives and states a vision of accessible, world-class training for people of all ages, sizes, genders, and backgrounds across its martial arts disciplines. Bay Jiu-Jitsu is built around five core values: It’s Fun Because It’s Hard, Actively Progressing, Ownership, Inclusivity, and What We Learn On The Mat, We Take Into The World. Bay Jiu-Jitsu is known as one of the most welcoming and competitive martial arts schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, and its jiu-jitsu team participates in local, state, national, and international tournaments. Athletes from Bay Jiu-Jitsu often compete alongside other Rdojo associated gyms to form a unified team at competitions across the United States and internationally.
Bay Jiu-Jitsu is associated with Rdojo, a multi-gym grappling team and training group founded by Reilly Bodycomb, whose athletes compete in combat sports including Jiu-Jitsu, Sport SAMBO, Judo, MMA, Combat Wrestling, Shuai Jiao, Combat SAMBO, San Shou, Kickboxing, Medieval Armored Combat, and Submission Grappling. Bay Jiu-Jitsu strives to offer a dogma-free training environment focused on building a comprehensive, cutting edge, and effective approach to martial arts regardless of rule set.
