About

Bay Jiu-Jitsu Kids Program and Camps offers jiu-jitsu, grappling, self defense, and other martial arts for kids. The program also includes high-energy games along with technical training. Week-long summer camps provide jiu-jitsu immersion for kids who want more time on the mat.

• Ages: 4–16 years old
• Schedule: Classes offered 2–4 days of jiu-jitsu each week for kids; week-long summer camps; phone support at 833-229-5487 (Mon–Fri 4pm–8pm)

Since opening in 2008, Bay Jiu-Jitsu has worked with countless students and has rebuilt its operations after COVID-related closures. The kids program and camps are part of Bay Jiu-Jitsu’s world-class kids and adults programs in Mill Valley and San Francisco. The program is led by founder and co-head coach Stephan Goyne, who has trained and competed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 1998 and earned his black belt in 2010 after winning numerous gold medals at brown belt level in national and international tournaments. Bay Jiu-Jitsu is associated with Rdojo, a multi-gym grappling team and training group founded by Reilly Bodycomb, and its jiu-jitsu team participates in local, state, national, and international tournaments. The program follows core values that include “It’s fun because it’s hard,” actively progressing, ownership, inclusivity, and “What we learn on the mat, we take into the world,” and it focuses on building confidence, coordination, teamwork, focus, resilience, and a “never give up” attitude in kids.
