The Richmond District YMCA, which runs this program, is described as a hub for connection, wellness, and support in its neighborhood and works side by side with individuals and families.

The organization supports Employee Resource Groups for staff, including the African American Resource Network, Asian Pacific Islander Leadership Network, LGBTQ Employee Resource Group, Latinx Employee Resource Group, and Women’s Leadership Network. A staff member describes the Y as a welcoming place for the community and notes enjoying working there and hearing how the Y has played a role in the lives of people they meet at work and in the community.
