The Richmond Neighborhood Center Youth Programs are part of a nonprofit organization that offers youth programs in 11 public schools. The Richmond Neighborhood Center was founded in 1980 and originated from community activism to save the former Lucinda Weeks School from demolition. Its mission is to provide youth, families, and seniors in San Francisco with essential services, meaningful connections, and leadership opportunities at every stage of life. It partners with schools, families, and local organizations to offer school-based school year and summer enrichment for over 3,000 public school students, food security services for 1,500 households, youth workforce development initiatives, senior empowerment workshops, and community events.
