About

Black Girls Code Programs offers workshops that include hands-on coding and chances to explore AI and emerging technology. The program includes multi-day, immersive camps hosted in cities across the country, where participants take part in these activities.

• Ages: 7–18 years old
• Schedule: Multi-day, immersive camps

Learners have been reached through live and virtual workshops since 2011. The program’s mission is to reshape the next generation of tech leaders. Participants learn from Dr. Avriel Epps, the program’s AI-in-Residence. Programs are delivered both in person and online, including The AI Hive, which is a shared space where learning happens together and brings the community into conversations about artificial intelligence. Coded By the Culture is a movement within Black Girls Code Programs that focuses on how culture, creativity, and technology connect. Black Girls Code is closing the gap in STEAM by creating spaces where learners and students feel seen, supported, and unstoppable. The College & Careers Member Portal is designed to serve a community of STEMinists ages 18 and older. Partners support real-world, industry-relevant learning that is part of these programs.
