The Russian Center includes the Museum of Russian Culture with a world-class collection of archives, rare books, manuscripts, and photographs, a Russian Heritage Library, a Russian-English bilingual immersion preschool called Teremok that is State-certified, and an extensive archive open to researchers of Russian history and culture. The leadership team includes President Eugene Krassovsky; Vice Presidents Victor Collaco and Alexander Sinkevitch; Treasurer Mikhael Balachov; Secretary Larissa Murray; and Board Members Greg Bogatsky, Anna Danich, Michael Danich, Alexei Klestoff, Illya Kulish, and Nina Shikaloff. The Russian Center hosts an annual Slavic Festival with performances, music, ethnic food and desserts, and artisan crafts, and this festival welcomes thousands of SF Bay Area visitors.
Community groups and individuals describe the Russian Center as a venue they have used for tango festivals, weekly dance groups, Sunday worship services, and wedding receptions, and they note its spacious halls, central location, historic charm, flexible space, and accommodating staff. Slavic Festival attendees describe the festival as a place where history dances and tradition sings, a way to celebrate Slavic culture, and a setting with food, entertainment, and cultural exhibits.
