About
Creative IQ Art Studio offers fine art classes, art classes, art camps, workshops, after school programming, and in-school programs that focus on drawing, painting, and color theory. Students make and display their own original paintings, illustrations, and arts & crafts projects, and the studio also hosts student art shows. The program also offers private parties, Arty Parties, art parties, paint and sip events, and opportunities for older students to volunteer as assistant counselors.

Creative IQ Art Studio offers fine art classes, camps, and parties, with options for 5–6 year olds, 7–17 year olds, and teens and adults. The program runs Summer Camp, Fall Camp, Winter Camp, and Spring Camp, and is only open for Summer Camp during summer hours. It is also available by appointment for private art lessons and CIQ Gallery art sales, and is available for art parties on Fridays during the school year, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays.
Owner Suzie Ferras has over 20 years of experience teaching art and working professionally in the arts, and over 25 years of experience working and teaching in the arts overall. She opened Creative IQ in 2015 and serves as the owner of Creative IQ Art Studio and CIQ Gallery, an SF Arts Commissioner*, and the president of the Balboa Village Merchants Association. Creative IQ programs state that they promote creative arts literacy, community involvement in the arts, cultural enrichment, social creativity, interpersonal social skills, creative confidence, and self expression.
The CIQ gift shop and gallery feature art, handmade gifts, cards, prints, and wares made by local artisans, representing talented local artists from San Francisco, Oakland, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Creative IQ hosts a collective of local visual and craft artists, exhibiting and selling the work of established and emerging artists in the San Francisco Bay Area, and presents a new gallery show every few months featuring a variety of art styles, mediums, price points, and artists. The program emphasizes drawing and painting while giving students the chance to explore a wide variety of mediums and art materials.
