Alpha Kids Academy

Alpha Kids Academy offers daily activities that include music, science, sports, STEM, reading, coloring, singing, outside play time, imaginative play, circle time, music and movement, learning centers, arts and crafts, table activities, story time, dance, athletics, foreign language studies, gardening, art, and math. The program includes a language immersion program in Spanish and Mandarin, with Mandarin offered at the Stonecrest location and Spanish offered at the Menlo Park location. The preschool programs also include field trips and Parent/Teacher conferences.

Alpha Kids Academy follows a sample daily schedule that includes drop off and imaginative play from 7:30–8:30am, morning snack or breakfast from 8:30–9:00am, circle time from 9:00–9:30am, music and movement from 9:30–10:00am, outside play time from 10:00–11:00am, and learning centers, arts and crafts, table activities, and science from 11:00am–12:00pm. Lunch runs from 12:00–12:20pm, story time from 12:20–12:30pm, nap time (varies by age) from 12:30–2:30pm, afternoon snack from 2:30–2:45pm, and extracurricular activities such as sports, music, and STEM from 2:45–3:30pm. Early pick up and open play are offered at 3:30pm, followed by outside play from 3:45–4:45pm, a second snack from 4:45–4:55pm, music and movement or imaginative play from 4:55–5:15pm, and story time, closing circle, and go home time from 5:15–5:30pm.

The program includes a transitional kindergarten program that bridges preschool and kindergarten, with small group instruction offered daily by qualified and experienced teachers. Staff are described as dedicated childcare providers and educators, caring and professional child care providers, and gentle and supportive staff members. The curriculum is described as meeting social-emotional, cognitive skills, literacy, math, and science and follows a whole-child approach. Alpha Kids Academy states that it is dedicated to strengthening bright and beautiful minds one day at a time.

Alpha Kids Academy serves families throughout the Bay Area, including Marin County, San Mateo County, and San Francisco, and serves families throughout the Menlo Park, Novato, and San Francisco areas. One parent from Millbrae reports that after one week and two full days of attendance, they chose to move their child to full-time enrollment. Another parent from Atherton describes the program as a place where a child can do pre-K curriculum and “just be a kid.” A parent from San Mateo notes that their 2.5-year-old daughter shows excitement when arriving and running to the classroom.
