About

Petits Pas offers camps that include dance, yoga, theatre, acrobatics, crafts, French, and theatre and show preparation. A typical day includes a welcome circle, a sports activity such as dance, yoga, or acrobatics, a nut-free snack, theatre and show prep, lunch, quiet time, and crafts. The organization follows a strict nut-free policy for all snacks and activities.

• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: Camp hours are 9:00 AM–3:00 PM with extended care from 3:00–5:00 PM, and summer camp sessions run on set dates between June 8 and July 17.

Petits Pas was founded in 2016 by Artistic Director Virginie Personne. The teaching team includes Virginie Personne, Léna Alvino, Marie Walburg, and Claire Pascal, and all teachers are fluent in both French and English. Each teacher has a professional background in modern dance, ballet, yoga, and theater and continues to perform outside the studio. All camps take place in a French–English bilingual environment, and no previous French is required. Camps are adapted for age and skill level, and each camp has one theme and one show per full-week session, with each week leading to the creation and recording of a complete short film performance. Petits Pas also offers camps by request on specific dates between September and March, subject to availability. The program follows San Francisco County guidelines in which masks and vaccinations are optional. Petits Pas states that its mission is to connect mind and body via self-discovery, with programs designed to inspire, nurture, and encourage students to gain confidence through expression inside and outside of the classroom, and describes itself as a safe haven where children and adults can be free of daily constraints and learn how to reach their full potential.
