About

Messy Art Lab Camps offers hands-on, creative days filled with paint, clay, collage, and sensory art. Kids get to explore, experiment, and make a happy mess in an award-winning process-oriented children's art studio that puts creative exploration and sensory engagement first. The program emphasizes exploration, imagination, and creativity while developing motor, cognitive, and social skills.

• Ages: 2–10 years old

Messy Art Lab Camps is led by founder and educator Yoissy Thomas, who is an artist and educator with expertise in Process Art and the Reggio Emilia approach. The leadership team also includes Betty, described as a toddler's rock star and camp master; Ximena, Operations Manager and Camp Teacher; and Delia, Event and Open Studio wizard. With a background in child development, Teacher Betty brings knowledge and enthusiasm to the classroom. Messy Art Lab has received Bay Area Parent Best of the Best Awards, which are purely reader- and voter-driven. A parent from San Francisco shared that teachers at Messy Art Lab were extra kind and found ways to involve an initially overwhelmed child, which led to the child warming up and having a great time. Summer Camp registration is open for a season full of creativity, color, and messy fun.
