Kids Kollege Preschool and Childcare Center

Kids Kollege Preschool and Childcare Center offers play-based Preschool and Pre-K programs in an inclusive, child-centered, and developmentally appropriate atmosphere. The program follows a curriculum that encourages children’s intrinsic curiosity and drive to explore, in a warm and highly supportive environment. Kids Kollege is currently enrolling and always accepting applications, and tours of the facility can be scheduled by contacting staff.

Since 1989, Kids Kollege Preschool and Childcare Center has been successfully serving the Sunset community and the Outer Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco, maintaining well-rounded preschool classes for families from many cultural, economic, and ideological backgrounds. Kids Kollege is a non-profit, nonsectarian organization (LIC#380505246) that cultivates a school community including families from throughout the San Francisco Bay Area region and sends its graduates into local schools. Teaching staff are experienced early childhood educators who have completed all qualifying coursework in early childhood education, and all teachers are trained in first aid and CPR. All staff members have been DOJ background checked and cleared. The program’s mission states that each child has the right to a safe, nurturing, responsive, and enriching environment, and describes children as competent explorers who are encouraged to express themselves creatively, problem solve, think critically, practice empathy, exercise mindfulness, and build self-esteem, in a community where children, families, and staff are included, valued, represented, and invited to share ideas, opinions, and questions.
