San Francisco Youth Field Hockey Club (SF Hawks) offers year-round field hockey through Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. Players take part in individual skill development for both field players and goalkeepers, as well as games and tournament play locally and on the national stage. San Francisco Youth Field Hockey Club (SF Hawks) is San Francisco’s first and largest field hockey club and welcomes boys and girls in grades K–12, with players of all levels. The club offers U08–U19 programs, with U08 typically for K–2nd graders, U10 for 3rd–4th graders, U12 for 5th–6th graders, U14 for 7th–8th graders, U16 for 9th–10th graders, and U19 for 11th–12th graders. For the 2025–2026 club season (Fall 2025, Winter 25/26, and Spring 2026), U08 includes players born after July 31, 2017; U10 after July 31, 2015; U12 after July 31, 2013; U14 after July 31, 2011; U16 after July 31, 2009; and U19 after July 31, 2007. Spring 2026 registration is open, and the Spring season starts on March 15th, with information available on the temporary website at https://sfyouthfieldhockey.kinsta.cloud/.
The club’s mission focuses on growing field hockey in the Bay Area and highlights fun, hard work, family, competitive spirit, and growth. SF Hawks has passionate and experienced coaches and a Program Director (name not stated). The club’s U16 program is ranked #1 in NorCal, #3 in California, and #67 nationally, and the club is a Tom Harris Boys Play Field Hockey 2025 Grant recipient and a USA Field Hockey Bessant 2024 Grow the Game Grant recipient. Through the generous donation of Stanford Field Hockey, the club has turf for a field hockey field, and it has also received a USA Field Hockey Bessant 2024 Grow the Game Grant.
All players are required to be members of the United States Field Hockey Association to participate in practices and tournaments, and the annual membership must be purchased directly from USFHA with players assigned to “SF Youth Field Hockey Club” in the USFHA system. SFYFH players have walked out with Cal and Michigan players as Anthem Buddies during the 9/8/19 game, and SFYFH kids have walked out with the USWNT and NED athletes, watched field hockey, and gotten athlete signatures. San Francisco Hawks accepts payments via PayPal, and payments can also be made via Venmo to @michelle-vandebraak or via PayPal to [email protected].
