About
Salesian Boys’ & Girls’ Club offers after school activities that include homework help, academic support, and a variety of academic activities. Participants can take part in sports such as basketball, softball, four-square, soccer, volleyball, ping pong, foosball, and bocce, as well as arts and crafts, theatre arts and theatre activities, music, sewing, cooking, and board games. The program also offers camps and summer activities, including Salesian Summer Day Camp, Camp Grigio day camp, Theatre Arts Summer Camps, sleep away camp in Santa Cruz, and special summer field trips such as visits to SF Giants baseball games, the Exploratorium, fishing on the Bay, a ski trip in Tahoe, and swimming.

• Schedule: After school options Monday–Friday, with afternoon hours and a separate summer schedule
• Price: Membership is $10 per year.
The Salesian Boys’ and Girls’ Club provides a safe, affordable place for kids and teens in the greater North Beach, Russian Hill and Chinatown communities and has been offering after school activities, enrichment programs and services to San Francisco youth for over a century. Camp Grigio is a day camp offered to youth not yet old enough to join the Club, for ages 3–8. Summers at the Club include field trips, sleep away camp, and days spent at the Club, and the Joe Passanisi Memorial Bocce Tournament & Picnic is a fundraiser event that supports the Salesian Boys’ & Girls’ Club. A testimonial from former San Francisco Mayor London Breed states, “For a Century, this Club has been a safe place for children to channel their energy into athletic, educational, cultural, artistic and career building programs.”
