About
Camp Superstuff is a week-long asthma day camp that includes education and fun activities every day. Campers take part in arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, fitness classes such as Zumba, bowling, ice skating, miniature golf, and field trips including a picnic and a visit to Raging Waters in San José. The program also includes time at youth-oriented amusement centers and picnics for participants and their families.
• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: July 27–31, 2026; annual week-long asthma day camp
Camp Superstuff is designed for children 6–12 years of age living with asthma and utilizes trained staff that teaches important techniques on how to manage asthma and allergies. Campers must have a medical care provider’s current approval to participate in in-person events, and downloadable registration forms in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese will be available. The program is offered by Breathe California, which for the past 114 years has worked to ensure that the Bay Area is one of the healthiest places in the country to live. As the local clean air and healthy lungs leader, Breathe California of the Bay Area, Golden Gate, and Central Coast fights lung disease in all its forms and works with its communities to promote lung health, and it is a member of the BREATHE AMERICA Alliance. Breathe California offers a wide variety of asthma programs and services for people of all ages, and children at Camp Superstuff are encouraged to participate in activities at their own pace and desired level of participation. Children who attend the camp see improvements in school performance, build higher self-esteem and learn to manage their symptoms of asthma, and they experience fewer hospital visits and missed school days by better learning to manage their condition.
