About the provider

Heroes started in 2009. Alan “Gumby” Marques is the founder of Heroes Martial Arts and a 4th Degree Black Belt who received his black belt in 2006 from Ralph Gracie. Nick “Eastside” Borbon is the head instructor at the Eastside location, Trevor Ireland is the main instructor at the downtown location, and Kevin Kopecky has assumed head instructor duties at the Campbell location.

• Adult Programs — 18 years and older (under 18 by instructor’s discretion and parental consent) · Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and grappling based programs for all levels of students. Unlimited training access to four gyms and online training included.
• Fundamentals — Beginner-friendly class covering basic knowledge needed to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu; core warm ups and technical instruction, no rolling/sparring.
• All Levels — Traditional Jiu Jitsu class with warm ups, technical instruction, drilling and sparring.
• Comp Class — Advanced students only. Hard drilling and sparring and competition prep.
• Gi Class — Requires the use of a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi or kimono.
• No Gi Class — Does not require the use of a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi or Kimono.
• Takedown Class — Any takedown scenario which works in a Jiu Jitsu context, including throws, takedowns and pulling guard.
• Wrestling Class — Specifically geared for a wrestling mindset.
• One Week Trial — $19 per week · Great, no risk way to try out Heroes Martial Arts.
• Day Pass — $40 per day · Day pass or drops in.

No Contracts. Classes are based on Common Sense and Common Courtesy. Adult Programs: under 18 by instructor’s discretion and parental consent. Youth Programs discuss proper course of action in self defense situations and using your voice before things get physical.
