About
Vision Martial Arts offers Kid’s Martial Arts, Teen’s Martial Arts, and Adult Martial Arts classes, as well as an Afterschool Program and Leadership Seminars. The program uses structured classes that include coordination, physical fitness, mental strength, and social skill development, and it uses positive reinforcement to bring out the best in children. Vision Martial Arts focuses on developing kids who are confident, self-assured, strong, and determined through learning and mastering martial arts.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
Vision Martial Arts states that martial arts classes benefit growing children far beyond the dojo and in many real-world scenarios. The program places emphasis on individual character development, leadership skills, and martial arts skills, and offers Leadership Seminars that teach life lessons and skills. Its mission is to put a great deal of emphasis on what many schools view as the “positive side effects” of martial arts, making this focus central to the program.
Parent and student testimonials describe instructors such as Peter Miller, Master Waldschmidt, Master LeMat, Mr. Karim, Peter R-M, and Jaimie as engaging, encouraging, professional, and focused on clear instruction, character building, and self-discipline through positive learning experiences. Families report that their children enjoy the classes, value the balance between serious learning and fun, and, in some cases, have attended since the program’s earlier name, America’s Best Karate. One testimonial notes that Vision Martial Arts places a great deal of emphasis on individual character development and leadership skills, and another highlights that the Leadership Seminars teach life lessons and skills that are described as invaluable throughout life. Vision Martial Arts is also described in testimonials as working very hard to support local schools.
