South San Jose Youth Soccer League offers youth soccer through recreational league play with a focus on small-sided games and individual skill development. The program includes a player development pathway with competitive teams, where selected players may guest play in up to five competitive games at no cost. Coaching sessions use the Play–Practice–Play model and emphasize maximum ball touches during training.

Founded in 1976, South San Jose Youth Soccer League is a community-based recreational league that serves families across South San Jose and nearby neighborhoods with structured, skill-focused programs for players U6–U14. The league’s mission is to provide a positive, inclusive, and development-focused soccer experience where players of all skill levels can learn the game, build confidence, and develop strong character. Licensed and professional coaches are involved in the competitive pathway, and the program includes Grassroots Coaching Training and a coach development initiative for volunteer coaches, with a coaching pathway for those interested in advancing coaching careers.
