Touch 3 Volleyball offers a year-round Skill Development Program that includes Beginner/Intermediate and Advanced classes, as well as specialized boys and girls sessions and tryouts for older girls. Specific activities include Beginner/Intermediate Saturday Classes, Advanced Saturday Classes, an Advanced Boys Sunday Skill Development Program, a Beginner/Intermediate Sunday Skill Development Program, an Advanced Girls Sunday Skill Development Program, Touch 3 Volleyball Girls 15U-18U Tryouts, the Silicon Valley Masters Tournament, and the Touch 3 Masters League.

Touch 3 Volleyball’s weekend schedule includes Saturday Beginner/Intermediate classes from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and Saturday Advanced Classes from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Sunday programs include Advanced Boys from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Beginner/Intermediate from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Advanced Girls at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. The program also offers the first-ever Touch 3 Masters League in Silicon Valley for adults ages 45+ on August 15th and 16th, 2026, along with the Silicon Valley Masters Tournament in August 2026 for adults ages 45+.
Touch 3 Volleyball was founded in 2012 by Smitha Kumar. Smitha brings over four decades of elite competitive experience, starting at the Varsity and National levels in India and continuing in the San Francisco Bay Area volleyball scene since 2000. She has represented California senior teams for nearly two decades, competed for over 15 years at the Huntsman World Senior Games, and played in the World Masters in New Zealand and Taiwan. Smitha was a member of the Gold Medal-winning team at the 2025 National Senior Games in Des Moines, Iowa.
Smitha founded Touch 3 Volleyball with the mission to make the game of volleyball accessible, enjoyable, and technically sound for players of all ages. Touch 3 has grown from a local initiative into a premier Bay Area institution, fueled by word-of-mouth and a decade-and-a-half of community trust. The program is built on the principle of mastering strong fundamental skills at an affordable cost and offers a year-round skill development program that prepares athletes across Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. According to the program, 90% of participants successfully secure spots on their school and club teams every year, and the coaching team represents more than 200 man-years of combined volleyball experience. Core values include Character & Commitment, Whole-Athlete Focus, and Elite Sportsmanship, and the program states that it empowers the next generation of athletes and leaders so they can “Step, Leap, and Jump” to greater heights.
