• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–5:30 pm
Neighborhood Christian Center has been serving families with a holistic approach to early learning since 1981. The program currently enrolls children ages 6 weeks old through entering 1st grade, with an Infant Center for ages 6 weeks–24 months, a preschool program for 2–4 years, and Pre-Kindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten for 4–5 years. The program states that faith is woven into everything they do and that children connect with God’s creation daily through hands-on experiences in gardens and fruit-filled outdoor spaces. Neighborhood Christian Center and Neighborhood Christian Preschool are ministries of Agape Schools, Inc., doing business as Neighborhood Christian Schools, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit religious corporation and operates its programs under a religious mission. The mission of Neighborhood Christian Center is to embrace individuality in a natural, developmentally appropriate play-based environment which fosters a love of learning and to nurture the whole child through wonder and discovery. The program notes a low teacher-to-child ratio and a notice of non-discriminatory policy as to students, stating that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, or national ethnic origin. Parents are not required to subscribe to any statement of faith or make a profession of faith, but must cooperate with and respect Neighborhood Christian Schools’ religious mission, values, religious education, and philosophy.
Neighborhood Christian Center has partnered with Valley Christian Schools, described as one of the best schools in the area. Valley Christian School has given Neighborhood Christian Center the recognition of an “Exemplary Preschool,” and Neighborhood Christian Center was one of the first preschools to be recognized in 2010–2011. Valley Christian Schools may present Exemplary Preschool Scholar Award(s) at the preschool’s commencement, each award valued at $1,000, for qualified preschool graduates who meet specified criteria. All visitors must pre-register and should complete the Inquiry Request or call to schedule an appointment.
