Neighborhood Christian Center offers activities such as sensory play, music and movement, creative art, early literacy, Bible stories, hands-on learning centers, small group learning, and extended blocks of purposeful play. Children take part in hands-on enrichment and teacher-guided instruction, as well as climbing, running, and outdoor play. The program also includes prayer, songs, puppets, tending vegetable beds, harvesting from fruit-bearing trees, digging, planting, building towers, solving puzzles, and counting out napkins at snack time.

Neighborhood Christian Center is currently enrolling children ages 6 weeks old through entering 1st grade. It includes an Infant Center and a Preschool program, as well as Pre-Kindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten classroom environments, along with vibrant gardens and fruit-filled outdoor spaces. The program has been serving families with a holistic approach to early learning since 1981.
Neighborhood Christian Center and Neighborhood Christian Preschool are ministries of Agape Schools, Inc., doing business as Neighborhood Christian Schools, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit religious corporation. Its mission is to embrace individuality in a natural, developmentally appropriate play-based environment which fosters a love of learning, and to nurture the whole child through wonder and discovery. Learning is both child-led and teacher-guided, using developmentally appropriate, research-based practices, and faith is woven into everything they do. Children connect with God’s creation daily through hands-on experiences in vibrant gardens and fruit-filled outdoor spaces, and they help tend vegetable beds, harvest from fruit-bearing trees, and care for the land.
Neighborhood Christian Center welcomes all children regardless of race, sex, color, religion, nationality, or ethnicity, and it does not discriminate with regard to enrollment or participation in programs or activities on the basis of race, color, sex, or national ethnic origin. Neighborhood Christian Schools is a religious corporation and operates its programs under a religious mission where it partners with parents in the early educational experience of their children. NCS does not require parents to subscribe to any statement of faith or make a profession of faith, but does require parents to cooperate with and respect NCS’s religious mission, values, religious education, and philosophy. NCS retains the right to deny enrollment or continue enrollment where parents are not willing to support the religious educational philosophy and ministry of NCS or respect and abide by NCS’s standards while on the campus of Neighborhood Christian Center or Neighborhood Christian Center related events. Neighborhood Christian Center teaches children that God loves everyone and Jesus is their friend and Savior. All visitors must pre-register.
Neighborhood Christian Center has partnered with Valley Christian Schools and commits to prepare its students for Kindergarten with excellence. Valley Christian School has given Neighborhood Christian Center the recognition of an “Exemplary Preschool,” and Neighborhood Christian Center was one of the first preschools to be recognized in 2010–2011. Valley Christian Schools Exemplary Schools agree to maintain a current preschool license through the California Department of Social Services. At its discretion, Valley Christian Schools will present Exemplary Preschool Scholar Awards at the preschool’s commencement, each award valued at $1,000, for qualified preschool graduates who have demonstrated proficiency of required kindergarten readiness skills for Valley Christian Schools and have received an acceptance letter for admission to Valley Christian Schools. At its discretion, Valley Christian Schools will grant Preferred Early Admission to qualified preschool students who have demonstrated proficiency of required kindergarten readiness skills for Valley Christian Schools and have received an acceptance letter for admission to Valley Christian Schools’ kindergarten.
