About
Asthma Summer Camp Superstuff is a week-long asthma day camp that includes daily education and fun activities supplemented with field trips. Campers take part in activities such as field trips with a picnic, a visit to CaliBunga Waterpark in San José, fitness classes like Zumba, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, bowling, ice skating, miniature golf, and time at youth-oriented amusement centers. The camp also includes picnics for participants and their families, and children are encouraged to participate in activities at their own pace and desired level of participation.

Asthma Summer Camp Superstuff is designed for children 6 to 12 years of age living with asthma and utilizes trained staff that teaches important techniques on how to manage asthma and allergies. Campers must have a medical care provider’s current approval to participate in in-person events, and the 2026 session is completely in person. Children who attend the camp see improvements in school performance, build higher self-esteem, learn to manage their symptoms of asthma, and experience fewer hospital visits and missed school days by better learning to manage their condition. The camp is led by Breathe California of the Bay Area, Golden Gate, and Central Coast, which is in its 116th year of serving communities in the Bay Area and beyond, and is a member of the BREATHE AMERICA Alliance. As the local clean air and healthy lungs leader, Breathe California of the Bay Area, Golden Gate, and Central Coast fights lung disease in all its forms and works with its communities to promote lung health.
