Sunshine Montessori Toddler Program

Sunshine Montessori Toddler Program includes classroom learning, art lessons, outdoor adventures, hands-on activity, music and song, group time, personal care, and care of their classroom. The program takes place in a Montessori environment with a carefully planned and meticulously prepared class environment. The toddler program assists children with trust, separation, independence, and self-control in a non-judgmental atmosphere that offers consistency and a balance between freedom and limits.

• Schedule: Open year round with full-day hours Monday–Friday

The environment includes a variety of hands-on materials that engage the senses, and children learn alongside peers of different ages and abilities. Dedicated and experienced teachers act as guides with a focus on nurturing both intellectual and emotional growth. The program emphasizes feelings of support, security, and self-esteem, and toddlers participate in community life and learn to use language skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to solve conflicts. The program also offers support for toilet learning as a unique toddler challenge. The mission statement for this program is: “We believe in fostering a love for learning from a young age. Our San Juan Montessori programs are designed to nurture your child’s natural curiosity and encourage independent thinking in a safe, stimulating environment.” Sunshine Montessori Toddler Program serves families from several nearby cities in south Orange County, including Dana Point, San Clemente, Ladera Ranch, and Rancho Viejo.
