Broadmoor Preschool has been sponsored by the San Leandro Adult School since 1952 and offers a two-year preschool program through this partnership. The program includes a younger class for 3–4 year olds that focuses on building social skills, confidence, and a sense of independence, and an older class for 4–5 year olds that focuses on more complex projects, collaborative play, and preparation for the routines of kindergarten. The stated purpose of the parent nursery school program is to best nurture the development of the young child through the magic of play, and to support parents in their understanding of the child’s development.
