Summer Camp is offered by East West KungFu Academy and includes kung fu and lion dance as part of its programming. The program is connected with events such as Summer Camp 2026 and Summer Camp / Lion Dance, as well as various kung fu and lion dance performances and competitions.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Class options Tuesday–Sunday, with afternoon and evening hours on weekdays and daytime hours on weekends
The program follows a student creed that focuses on developing oneself at the school with a positive attitude, confidently and bravely facing challenges, following school discipline by being polite, respectful, and excellent to oneself, teachers, and fellow kung fu students, and training hard, actively participating, showing the best of oneself every class, and encouraging and helping fellow kung fu students so that everyone grows together. East West KungFu Academy notes that 2023 was its first year participating in the California International Wushu Championships, where it won 9 gold, 11 silver, and 8 bronze medals, and it has continued participating in the championships in 2024 and 2025. The academy has also taken part in community events, including performances at Washington Manor Park in San Leandro, the Moon Festival at the San Leandro Main Library, the 2024 Chinese New Year performance at James Madison Elementary School, and a performance at James Madison Elementary School to celebrate the moon festival.
