Sew Inspired

Sew Inspired offers sewing experiences that include summer camps, school holiday camps, after school sessions, weekend workshops, and birthday parties. The program also offers activities such as Game Day Gear Workshops for stadium blankets, fan T-shirts, clear zipper bags, and dog bandanas, as well as The “Dress Shirt” Refashion Workshop and easy kids garment making. Additional options include Mom & Me sessions, sessions for youngsters and young adults on the spectrum, Girl Scout troop events, adult private lessons, and Keepsake T-Shirt Quilts.

Sew Inspired is celebrating its 15th year in business. The leadership team includes owner and entrepreneur Laura Prince, sewing teacher Bella Knipe, teaching assistant Jasmine Prince, and creator and designer at M.O.M., Tere Jensen. Bella is a sewing teacher who loves fashion design, is pursuing internships in design, and is attending a local college, and Tere has spent the past 18 years creating, designing, and sewing her original designs around the globe. The program states, “WE LOVE SEWING. WE LOVE KIDS. WE LOVE ‘BIG’ KIDS, TOO. WE BELIEVE IN THE SOCIAL EXPERIENCE. WE BELIEVE IN THE NOBLE SKILL OF SEWING AND DESIGN.” Sew Inspired offers Youngsters & Young Adults on the Spectrum Sessions and is a Regional center vendor. The program also offers “NEW” Teens and Adults “FASHION & FUN” themed weekend workshops, and its workshops and camps now include written instructions and sometimes a “pattern-of-the-project.” Keepsake T-Shirt Quilts are available to make a memorable t-shirt quilt for a son or daughter to take to college.
