The Family Room offers prenatal classes, Parent & Me and Toddler & Me classes, wellness and movement classes, music classes, CPR/First Aid classes, drop-in playgroups, and in-person feeding support. Classes and support are offered in person and include hands-on instruction and casual drop-in playgroups, along with in-person help for feeding questions such as latch, pumping, and going back to work.

Established in 2014, The Family Room is led by Founder, Owner, and CEO Karen Stoteraux. The team includes child development experts such as birth and postpartum doulas, marriage and family therapists, music educators, international board certified lactation consultants, and certified yoga instructors. The program offers expert-led, research-based classes and support at every stage from pregnancy through toddlerhood, with options for both moms and dads. The Family Room states that it brings families together to normalize challenges, celebrate successes, make life-long friendships, and support parents through the ups and downs of parenthood, and it notes that it supports dads as well as moms and families regardless of who they love or how they became a family. It is recommended by doctors, doulas, and “your best friend,” and it offers free, drop-in support and community in a space intended for building meaningful connections and “finding your village,” with familiar faces each week.
