The Family Room

The Family Room offers in-person prenatal classes with research-based information, hands-on practice, and resources in a comfortable and welcoming space. It also offers drop-in playgroups for babies and toddlers, in-person feeding support, programs for dads, Parent & Me and Toddler & Me activities, wellness and movement, music, and CPR/First Aid.

• Drop-in Playgroups — Free, drop-in support and community; casual playgroups for babies/toddlers, parents, and caregivers.
• In-Person Feeding Support — In-person help with feeding questions from latch, to pumping, and going back to work.
• Programs for Dads — Programs to help normalize challenges unique to fatherhood, make connections and friends, and support dads.

About the provider

The Family Room was established in 2014. Karen Stoteraux is the owner, founder, and CEO, and the team includes child development experts, birth and postpartum doulas, marriage and family therapists, music educators, international board certified lactation consultants, and certified yoga instructors. The program serves families in Pasadena, San Marino, and Los Angeles and offers free, drop-in support and community when needed.

In-person, hands-on classes. Designed for moms and dads. Parenting is a shared experience. All parents are welcome regardless of who they love or how they became a family. There is free, drop-in support.
