Aerial Dance Marin

Aerial Dance Marin offers aerial dance classes that include aerial silks choreography, polishing choreography workshops, performances, free classes, and open apparatus time. The program includes a free adult community night with open apparatus time, teachers available to guide participants, music, refreshments, and a chance to meet the community. Instructors describe aerial dance as an art form with an athletic twist that blends grace and style with a workout, and they describe the student community as a place to enjoy learning and growing together.

Owner and instructor Marisa Gregory has over 15 years of aerial experience and education under private instructors and Bay Area schools, as well as trainings with teachers abroad. She has studied rigging and safety with Night Owl Circus and other sources, and has taught circus arts, drama, and yoga to all ages and abilities. For the past 7 years, she has operated Poisnivy Circus, a modern circus arts company that focuses on aerial and fire dancing, and Aerial Dance Marin is proud to return with PoisnIvy Circus to the Fairfax Festival.

One adult student describes Aerial Dance Marin as a wonderful and supportive space to learn aerial dance, with teachers who allow students to learn at their own pace and a no-pressure community.
