Aim High Summer is designed for current 5th–8th grade middle school students who have limited access to summer academic enrichment programs and is committed to a multi-summer learning experience from 5th through 8th grade, with students expected to attend consecutive summers throughout middle school. The program states that it ignites a love of learning and prepares students for success in middle school, high school, and beyond, and that it aims to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. Aim High uses restorative practices to prevent and respond to conflict, harm, and wrongdoing, and its behavior expectations and interventions are rooted in these practices. The program upholds CORE values of Community, Opportunity, Respect, and High Expectations, and states that it strives to create an inclusive environment where staff and students feel they are part of something special and can be their true selves. One parent described Aim High as a lifeline as a working parent, noting confidence that their child experienced both fun and learning, easy communication, strong program offerings, enjoyable instructors, and a chance for their child to experience middle school-style transitions between classes, different enrichment options, new sports, and mentorship.
