ELS San Francisco, North Bay – English Language Programs includes activities such as university class visitation, volunteer experience, concurrent enrollment, and American conversation partnerships. The program also offers access to an IELTS testing center and organizes visits to Muir Woods National Monument, Alcatraz Island, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, the Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Area beaches, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, as well as golfing at nearby courses such as McIness Golf Course and Peacock Gap Golf Club. Campus facilities available to participants include sports fields, a basketball court, cafeteria, computer lab, fitness center, free parking at the university, gymnasium, library, music practice rooms, a soccer field, an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, and Wi‑Fi, with on-campus residence options at Pennafort Hall and Fanjeaux Hall.

Homestay accommodation is offered with 14 meals per week and single occupancy, and homestay students are responsible for their own transportation, with most commuting by bus or bike and some families within walking distance. Housing availability and confirmations are contingent on university and/or provider approval and are subject to change, and on-campus residence at Pennafort Hall and Fanjeaux Hall offers housing with access to ELS classes, the library, and campus amenities. ELS offers 12 class levels, state-of-the-art language technology centers, multiple testing services, university admission assistance, homestay options with English-speaking host families, and student residence or other housing assistance, and academic staff provide academic advice and assistance in applying to university.

Many of the most experienced teachers at ELS are members of TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages), hold Master's degrees or TEFL Certificates, and have taught at ELS for 15 or more years. The ELS San Francisco, North Bay Center Director is Dean Wright. ELS’ Intensive English levels 109 or 112 meet the English language entry requirement for more than 600 colleges and universities throughout the USA, and upon successful completion of ELS Intensive English level 112, students fulfill the English language entry requirement for conditional admission to Dominican University of California and additional nearby partner colleges and universities, while completion of level 109 fulfills the proficiency requirement for partner community colleges. Over 600 colleges recognize ELS level 109 or 112 certifications for language entry, and over 600 universities worldwide accept the ELS Certificate as proof of English proficiency.

ELS Language Centers is accredited by ACCET, and ELS is a three-time winner of the ST Star Chain School Award (2019 and 2022; in 2023, ELS and ILSC Education Group jointly won the Star Chain School Award together).
