About
Champ Camp is a week-long residential Champ Camp. The program is part of the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation’s camps, retreats and adventures for burn survivors and their families. The 2025 Champ Camp session is scheduled as a week-long program.
• Schedule: Week-long session from June 7, 2025 to June 14, 2025
Since 1971, the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARBF) nonprofit organization has been dedicated to delivering prevention education and services to burn survivors, their families and caregivers in California. AARBF’s 40th Champ Camp is led in part by Katrina Arthur, AARBF Associate Director, and Alison Clark, Board Member. The organization’s mission is to significantly reduce the number of burn injuries through prevention education and to enhance the quality of life of those affected by burn injuries in California. AARBF also runs a Safe and Warm program that addresses the growing number of burn patients from the unhoused community, and in partnership with The Midnight Mission in Los Angeles, it developed a compact package distributed across California that teaches strategies for keeping warm and preventing burns. “It is remarkable to see Alisa’s memory shared and the positive impact she has made. So many people believe in our mission and are willing to bend over backwards to support our services for kids, survivors and one another,” according to Board Member Alison Clark.
