Royal Family KIDS Camp and Mentoring Programs

Royal Family KIDS Camp and Mentoring Programs include five-day camps and ongoing mentoring programs for children who have experienced relational trauma. The camp curriculum and activities are woven through the modality of Trust-Based Relational Intervention. The programs serve children affected by foster care and focus on both camp experiences and mentoring relationships.

• Price: Royal Family KIDS Camp and Mentoring programs are offered at little to no cost in over 200 locations across the US and around the globe.

For The Children began this ministry in 1985 and equips churches in 44 states and in 10 countries to provide Royal Family KIDS Camp and Mentoring programs to children ages 6–12 who have experienced relational trauma. For The Children mobilizes the local Church to host these programs and upholds rigorous safety standards, including a rigorous screening process for volunteers. According to Becca C. Johnson, Ph.D., “The overall effectiveness of Royal Family KIDS camps that I have experienced is that one week at camp can be as effective as one year of counseling sessions.”
