For The Children – Royal Family KIDS Camp and Mentoring Programs

For The Children – Royal Family KIDS Camp and Mentoring Programs offers Royal Family KIDS Camp and Royal Family KIDS Mentoring programs for children who have experienced relational trauma and for children affected by foster care. The program includes five-day camps where children entering or already in the child welfare system attend camp activities. The mentoring programs include dependable, monthly contact with the same adults through ongoing mentoring meetings.

For The Children’s mission is to mobilize the local Church to create life-changing moments for children who have experienced relational trauma. For The Children mobilizes the local Church to host Royal Family KIDS Camp and Mentoring programs and equips churches in 44 states and in 10 countries to provide these programs. Royal Family KIDS Camp and Mentoring programs are offered through chapters started through local churches, and For The Children provides training programs for camp and mentoring for those starting a chapter through their church. For The Children upholds rigorous safety standards, uses a rigorous screening process for volunteers, and has a focus on trauma-informed care. Bridge to Belonging equips churches to become trauma-informed havens for vulnerable children and their families and provides training and ready-to-use lesson plans, with all materials currently available at no cost. For The Children is motivated by the example Christ set, caring for those Jesus referred to as “the least of these.” The ministry began in 1985, and For The Children is looking toward 2026 and beyond with a 10-year vision to expand church partnerships to serve 50% more children.
