The Kids in Nature Environmental Education Program includes field trips, tours, and hands-on activities that bring K–12 students to nature and UC Santa Barbara. The program also includes the KIN Science Education Practicum course as part of its environmental science education experiences.
The Kids in Nature Environmental Education Program promotes the aspirations and achievements of students in underserved schools in Santa Barbara and Goleta by providing quality environmental science education and experiences through field trips, the KIN Science Education Practicum course, tours, and many other hands-on activities that bring K–12 students to nature and UC Santa Barbara. The program serves students in underserved schools in Santa Barbara and Goleta. Andy Lanes serves as the Cheadle Center Education and Outreach Coordinator and Kids in Nature Associate for this program.
