Laurelwood Cabana Club Swim Programs and Lessons offers open swim, reserved and drop-in lap swim, kids swim programs, and private swim lessons. The program includes the Dolphins Swim Team, Spring Swim, Fall Swim, and Winter Swim, along with pool parties and monthly social events such as an annual season-opening BBQ, movie nights, potlucks, a Chili Cook-Off, and an end of season luau. Spring Swim is described as a pre-season conditioning program to prepare for swim team, Fall Swim focuses on postseason swim conditioning and an introduction to water polo, and Winter Swim focuses on swim conditioning and water polo skills.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Annual membership season from February 28, 2026 to January 31, 2027, with club access from March to mid-February, 5am–9pm daily; Spring Swim runs March to mid-April; Swim Team and Dolphins Swim Team run from mid-April/April through mid-July; Fall Swim runs about nine weeks from mid-August/late August through October; Winter Swim is offered in two six-week sessions from November–December and January–February
• Price: Annual membership dues for 2026 are $1,200.00, with an additional $100.00 administrative fee for new and lapsed members; kids swim programs for ages 5–17, pool parties, lessons, and select events have additional fees; guest passes and extra keys are available for a small fee
Since 1961, Laurelwood Cabana Club has offered swimming and water safety education for the entire family. It is a community-based membership pool whose members include families and individuals living in and around Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, San Jose, and other nearby areas. Membership is open to any family or individual, regardless of address. The Dolphins Swim Team is part of the JSSL, includes many social events and semi-competitive meets, and requires parent volunteering. Lifeguards are on duty every day of the summer and on weekends during Spring and Fall, and guest passes for non-member friends and family are available during the summer during lifeguarded hours only. Access to the pool is by key card, and extra keys may be purchased for a small fee.
