Santa Clara Sporting Soccer Club offers competitive youth soccer and amateur soccer. The program includes participation in the Goals-for-A-Cure effort, which focuses on providing free mammograms to women facing financial barriers.

Santa Clara Sporting Soccer Club was founded in 1971 by a group of Portuguese soccer players with a vision to compete in the Peninsula Soccer League and has supported competitive youth and amateur soccer players from all economic backgrounds for over 50 years. The club now includes over 650 players across 35 teams from U8 to U18, with teams competing in ECNL, the Girls Academy, and NorCal Premier Soccer Leagues, and it is affiliated with the Santa Clara Youth Soccer League, ECNL, and the Girls Academy. The coaching staff has a track record of nurturing top-tier soccer talent and has propelled players to compete at professional levels, with alumni playing in leagues such as MLS, the Israeli Premier League, and Liga MX, as well as in collegiate coaching roles.
Santa Clara Sporting’s mission is to develop competitive soccer talent while nurturing values, education, and community spirit, with hard work, skill development, and teamwork integrated into its player development program. The club has achieved 47 State Championships, 24 National Championships, and has produced 50 US Youth National Team players, with teams consistently ranking among the Top 5 in Northern California and maintaining a Top 10 nationwide ranking according to GotSoccer.com. Over the last four years, more than 200 players have gone on to play collegiate soccer, and the Santa Clara Sporting Scholarship Program awards $18,000 annually to six college-bound players.
Through its Goals-for-A-Cure initiative, Santa Clara Sporting has raised over $665,000, sending 100% of donations to El Camino Hospital and helping screen more than 3,000 women with free mammograms, and this work has been recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals and featured on KPIX CBS News. A Sporting parent reports that watching their son and daughter play for Santa Clara Sporting for over three years has been a fun journey that has taught them resilience, teamwork, and dedication.
