ESCAPE Theatre offers musical theatre training that includes singing, dancing, acting, and work on stage presence. The program follows a four month learning process that leads into full-scale productions.

• Price: Adults $28 | Child (3-17) $23 | Seniors (65+) $23 plus $2.50 per ticket charge covering all platform and cc costs; Registration Fee: $419
ESCAPE Theatre is a non-profit organization that presents two or three full-scale productions every year, each featuring over 300 kids, youth, and teens from the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas. Productions feature a full, live orchestra along with sets, props, projections, and costumes, and include shows such as Beauty and the Beast and Peter Pan. ESCAPE Theatre also offers two full-scale musicals each year at a major performing arts center, a smaller summer production, and numerous summer camps at its studio.
The program’s mission is to give youth and teens an opportunity to develop skills in singing, dancing, and acting while developing self-esteem, discipline, creativity, and teamwork in an environment described as positive, supportive, and fun. ESCAPE Theatre has touring-class sets, props, and projections available for rent across the Los Angeles area and beyond, with the option to select individual set pieces to complement or complete existing sets.
ESCAPE Theatre is led by Directors Kyle and Elizabeth Burson. Elizabeth Burson is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, with a B.A. in Music, is a classically trained pianist who has played with several orchestras, and has credits as Musical Director, Pianist, Conductor, and Artistic Director on over 250 shows across the nation. Elizabeth and Kyle Burson met in 1991 doing a production of Li'l Abner for a theatre company in Long Beach and were married two years later, and over the last 20 years of ESCAPE they bring more than 35 years of experience to their partnership. ESCAPE Theatre celebrates a milestone anniversary with 20 years of history.
