ESCAPE Theatre

ESCAPE Theatre offers summer camps, full-scale musical theatre productions, and a smaller summer production that include singing techniques, voice projection, dancing, acting, and stage presence. The program also provides touring-class set rentals, including sets, props, and projections, with the option to select individual set pieces to complement or complete current sets. Productions feature a full, live orchestra along with sets and costumes.

• Schedule: Four-month training sessions with rehearsals from July 6 to August 13 and summer camps July 7–10 for kids entering 2nd–7th grade; upcoming show dates include June 19–22, 2026, August 14–16, 2026, and January 28–31, 2027

ESCAPE Theatre presents two or three full-scale productions every year, each featuring over 300 kids, youth, and teens from the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas, and offers numerous summer camps at its studio. The organization is a non-profit and states that its mission is to give youth and teens an opportunity to develop skills in singing, dancing, and acting while developing self-esteem, discipline, creativity, and teamwork in an environment that is positive, supportive, and fun. ESCAPE Theatre has been active for over 20 years. The leadership team includes Directors Kyle and Elizabeth Burson, with Elizabeth also serving as Musical Director, Pianist, Conductor, and Artistic Director. Elizabeth holds a B.A. in Music from the University of California, Irvine, is a classically trained pianist who has played with several orchestras, and has credits on over 250 shows across the nation, while Kyle has been performing since age 7 and brings more than 35 years of experience.
