Raising the Curtain Foundation Youth Theatre Programs

Raising the Curtain Foundation Youth Theatre Programs include magical storytelling, hands-on theatre stations like lighting, sound, costumes, sets, and more, and sessions where kids sing, dance, play, and create with The BeatBuds. The program offers a Saturday’s Kids season of magical storytelling, a high-energy musical adventure for little ones and their families with The BeatBuds, and rotating stations led by working artists and technicians for students in 4th–6th grade.

• Ages: 9–12 years old
• Schedule: Select Saturdays and evenings in fall 2026, with sessions ranging from about 1 hour 15 minutes to 3 hours

Since its founding in 2018, Raising the Curtain Foundation has focused on enhancing the Newhall Family Theatre for the Performing Arts. The Theatre Manager is Tom Lund. The organization supports a wide array of performances and programs that involve artists, students, educators, and audience members, and it aims to create opportunities for local talent and introduce new audiences to the performing arts. It also invites volunteers to join a team that works to inspire, connect, and enrich the community through theater and offers a Grand Ovation Campaign to name a seat in the theatre.
