Club Ed Surf School and Camps

Club Ed Surf School and Camps offers surf lessons and stand up paddleboarding lessons. Surf lessons include private, semi-private, open group, and private group options, with wetsuit and beginner friendly board included. Summer Surf Camps are also offered for surfers of all levels.

Programs

• Surf Lessons — Ages 12 and up; all skill levels welcome · Includes private, semi-private, open group, and private group lesson options. Equipment included (wetsuit and beginner friendly board).
• Private Group Surf Lesson — Ages 12 and up; all skill levels welcome · $130 per class · 2 hours; 1 instructor for every 4 students; your private group minimum 3 people; groups of 10+ get discounted rates.
• Semi-Private Surf Lesson — Ages 12 and up; all skill levels welcome · $150 per class · 2 hours; 1 instructor for every 2 students; you + friend(s) for more personalized attention.
• Open Group Surf Lesson — Ages 12 and up; all skill levels welcome · $120 per class · 2 hours; 1 instructor for every 4 students; join other surfers learning together.
• Private Surf Lesson — All ages welcome · $150 per class · Choose 1, 1.5, or 2 hour sessions; one-on-one instruction; option to tandem for small children.
• Lessons with Ed — All ages & skill levels · $220 per class · Private lesson $220 per hour; semi-private $220/person; surfing or SUP.
• Stand Up Paddleboarding — Perfect for all ages and skill levels · SUP lessons introduce fundamentals, etiquette, condition awareness, safety, proper paddling techniques and self-rescue.
• Group SUP Lesson — Ages 11 and up; all skill levels welcome · $120 per class · 2 hours; 1 instructor for every 4 students; learn SUP fundamentals, safety and technique; wetsuit and beginner friendly board included.
• Semi-Private SUP Lesson — Ages 11 and up · $150 per class · 2 hours; 1 instructor for every 2 students; personalized attention; perfect for learning SUP surfing techniques; wetsuit and beginner friendly board included.
• Summer Surf Camps — Surf camps give all levels of surfers a chance to camp out above the beach for a week and immerse themselves in the surfing lifestyle.

About the provider

Ed Guzman leads the program with Master Surfing Instructors and staff. The program says it has a professional water safety background since the early 80s, and Ed has 40+ years of teaching experience. It was voted the Best Surf School in Santa Cruz, and its surf instructors are Lifeguards, CPR, and First Aid Certified.

All skill levels welcome. Groups of 10+ get discounted rates. Private group minimum 3 people. Larger group discounts are available upon request for groups of 6 participants or more. Special sessions are available for women or men only, wedding parties, bachelor/ette parties, corporate team building, school groups, church groups, birthday parties, Yoga and Stand Up Paddling retreats.
