Kids 3-Day Surf Camp

Kids 3-Day Surf Camp focuses on surfing through kids public/group surf camps, with options for private and semi-private kids surf classes. The camp runs over three days, and each day includes a 2.5-hour surf lesson using soft core surfboards and wetsuits that are provided as part of the program. All gear is included, and families may also choose to bring their child’s own surfboard or wetsuit.

Adventure Out has operated since 2004 with a mission “to help people fall back in love with nature” and “provide a program & environment that empowers and supports people of all walks-of-life to achieve their wildest adventures in the outdoors, while fostering a respect for and connection to the natural environment.” The organization describes itself as California’s premiere outdoor school specializing in surf lessons and camps, rock climbing classes, backpacking trips, mountain biking, wilderness survival instruction, and adventure tours, and notes a perfect safety record for Adventure Out overall. Kids 3-Day Surf Camp is part of Adventure Out’s network of outdoor schools, guide services, and wilderness education programs across the country that focus on quality of service and programming and fostering environmental stewardship.

The camp uses a maximum 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio, often less, and notes that small groups with this 4:1 ratio provide more individual attention and a safer environment. Supportive, expert coaches lead the sessions, and all instructors are CPR, First-Aid, and Lifeguard certified. Adventure Out states that it is Northern California’s premiere surf school and the only nationally accredited surf school in the area, and it is a fully insured and permitted surf school.

All gear for Kids 3-Day Surf Camp is included, with a complementary soft surfboard and wetsuit provided so that participants will be comfortable in the water. The suggested packing list for each child includes a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, snack, and water. From September to May, kids 12 and under can book a private or semi-private kids surf class instead of the public/group surf camps.

A portion of each reservation fee is donated to environmental conservation in the wild and natural places visited with Adventure Out.
