Laird’s Academy of Martial Arts

Laird’s Academy of Martial Arts offers Little Dragons and Kid’s Classes for children ages 6+ years. Little Dragons includes martial arts, safe falling, tumbling, coordination, flexibility, self-confidence, social skills, playground skills, focus, patience, self-control, and never initiating violence. Kid’s Classes are also offered.

Programs

• Kid’s Classes — 6+ years · Mon-Thu 4:00-5:00 pm and 5:00-6:00 pm; Fri 5:00 pm; Sat 10:30 am
• Little Dragons — young children · Mon-Thu 3:15-4:00 pm · Introduces martial arts, safe falling, tumbling, coordination, flexibility, self-confidence, social skills, playground skills, focus, patience, self-control, and never initiating violence.
• Adult Classes — Mon-Thu 4:00-5:00 pm and 5:00-6:00 pm; Fri 5:00 pm; Sat 10:30 am · Traditional Korean martial art of Ho Kuk Mu Sul with focus on confronting multiple attackers; includes Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and some weapons training.
• Martial Arts Summer Camp for Kids — Five day camp that introduces kids to martial arts while learning how to deal with bullies, make good choices, and the importance of having a positive attitude.

About the provider

Michael Laird is a Master in HKMS and has continued to study under Master Jin since 1992. He has a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, 6 years experience in Jiu Jitsu, 7 years of wrestling, and training in Silat with Mike Roberto. He teaches Self Defence for Santa Cruz County Schools, SC Parks and Recreation, and is an approved contract PE instructor for many local schools.

Classes are ongoing and can be joined at any time. Continuous enrollment. Free trial class available. Monthly agreements and yearly agreements are offered.
