About

Santa Cruz Mid-County Youth Soccer Club offers recreation soccer and competitive soccer, along with basic to advanced training and workshops for player, coaching, and referee development. The program includes both recreation league play and competitive “Surf” teams.

• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Recreation registration opens April 1, 2026, with practices starting August 3 and games running on Saturdays from August 22 through October 31; U6 teams practice 1 hour once a week with a 1-hour game each Saturday, and U8 to U15 teams practice 1 hour twice a week with a 1-hour game each Saturday

Santa Cruz Mid-County Youth Soccer Club is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization. It offers youth boys and girls ages 4 through 19 the option to play soccer at the recreational or competitive level. The club has over 600 players in the recreation league and over 300 players on competitive Surf teams. It is celebrating 39 years of serving the Santa Cruz Mid-County region and beyond since 1987 and is one of the original youth soccer organizations in Santa Cruz County, serving over 900 youth as young as 4 and up to 19 years old. The organization states that its primary goal is to promote self-esteem, confidence, good sportsmanship, respect, leadership, and team-building skills through playing soccer. Coaches choose their practice location, day, and time, and age cutoffs have been changed back to the school year.
