Radical Movement Factory

Radical Movement Factory offers Kids Circus/Aerial Arts, Kids Aerial Silks Level 1, Kids Aerial Silks Level 2A, Kids Silks & Rope Level 2B, and Summer Camps & Workshops. Students work on coordination, balance, strength, tumbling, juggling, balancing, acrobatics, climbing, going upside-down, proper form, basic and Russian climbs, hip keys, footlocks, wraps, drops, sequencing, dynamic movement, conditioning, handstands, and aerial work.

Programs

• Kids Circus/Aerial Arts — Kids · Kids develop coordination, balance, strength, self confidence, tumbling, juggling, balancing and acrobatics on the ground and in the air in a non-competitive environment.
• Kids Aerial Silks Level 1 — Ages 9 and up · For students new to aerial arts and acrobatics. Students learn to climb, go upside-down, and practice proper form and correct muscle group engagement.
• Kids Aerial Silks Level 2A — For advanced beginners. Prerequisites include proficiency in basic and Russian climbs, hip keys, and footlocks.
• Kids Silks & Rope Level 2B — For intermediate aerialists. Students learn more advanced climbs, wraps, drops, longer sequencing, and dynamic movement with a focus on core and shoulder stability and strength.
• Creative Collective — Ages 9 up to adult · An ensemble for co-creation of floor and aerial sequences intended to develop a show. By invite only.
• Intermediate / Advanced Open Training — Open training for intermediate and advanced students to practice skills learned in class or work on creative projects.
• Summer Camps & Workshops — Kids summer camps; students of all levels · Kids summer camps and weekend immersion camps for students of all levels. Camps focus on conditioning, handstands, acrobatics, and aerial, and all week long camps culminate in a group performance.
• Adult Intro to Silks Level 1 — 16 years and older · For students new to aerial arts and acrobatics. Strong focus on technique and conditioning.
• Adult Silks Level 2 — For aerialists already familiar with the basic climb, going upside-down and material covered in Level 1.
• Adult Silks Level 3 — For intermediate aerialists. Students learn more advanced climbs, wraps, drops, and longer sequencing with a focus on quality of movement, stamina building, and proper technique.
• Silks & Rope Level 4 — More advanced climbs, wraps, drops, sequencing, and dynamic movement for the intermediate/advanced aerialist.
• Silks Level 3/4 — Introduces advanced climbs, wraps, drops, sequencing, and dynamic movement for the intermediate/advanced aerialist.

At a glance

• Ages: 9–18 years old
• General schedule: All new students start in level 1 classes. Adult classes are open to ages 15+. Studio approval is required to enroll in Level 2+. When students sign up for a session, they are auto-enrolled each month and auto billed on the 23rd of each month for the upcoming month if they have a card on file. After the 23rd, unpaid students may have spots offered to waitlisted students. Youth students under 18 are required to have a credit card on file. There are no makeups for youth participants.

The Radical Movement Factory describes itself as an artistic lab for students and professionals to create, perform, and collaborate. Its mission is to provide instruction in aerial and acrobatics for all ages and all levels.

Make an account and sign your waiver to register. Adult classes are open to ages 15+. Studio approval required for Level 2+. Youth students under 18 are required to have a credit card on file. There are no makeups for youth participants. All week long camps culminate in a group performance.
