• Schedule: Programs are offered by season (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer), and the Young Ones Program uses shorter clinics and 4-week sessions.
Santa Cruz Beach Volleyball Club was founded by Lucas Bol and was formerly known as Main Beach Sand Club. The club features some of the most experienced, innovative and skilled beach volleyball coaches in the area. Its Training Groups program was established in the Bay Area in the summer of 2013 and has produced more NCAA Division I beach volleyball athletes than any other program in northern California. The Young Ones Program is a no cut program where all players are welcome to join, and FUNdamentals is a no tryout program. The Summer Flex program runs on a flexible week-to-week format, with a maximum 1–8 coach-to-player ratio per court and a dedicated coach on each Summer Flex court overseeing and instructing players 100% of the time.
Santa Cruz Beach Volleyball Club describes itself as a beach-dedicated club and comprehensive beach volleyball program with community-based instruction and a Development Pathway designed to prepare players for NCAA and professional competition. The club states that it strives to provide training based on current techniques and strategies being used at the national level, emphasizing lifelong learning and fundamental values that apply on the court and in life. It teaches and promotes confidence, integrity, responsibility, competitiveness, teamwork, communication and work ethic, among other intangibles. The club also hosts events and tournaments that bring players and the community together to connect and compete.
