Seven Directions Creative Learning Center

Seven Directions Creative Learning Center offers summer camps, regular art and science classes, and Movie Nights where students spend time watching movies, making art, and interacting with resident animals. Students work with pencil, charcoal, watercolor, acrylics, clay, and mixed media, and they draw, paint, and sculpt from hundreds of 3D models that include mythical creatures, animals, flowers, and sports figurines. Many activities include observing and interacting with over 30 different live exotic animals to inspire creative work in both art and science.

• Schedule: Fall 2026 Semester runs from January 6 to May 16 with a week off for Spring Break from April 7–11; all classes meet weekly on a month-to-month payment schedule with ongoing enrollment

Seven Directions Creative Learning Center states that every person has a unique vision to share that enhances the richness of the community, and that its wide range of creative learning opportunities helps students realize their potential artistically, academically, and socially. The program states that the arts are a crucial part of the human experience and that art is the best way for young learners to explore and express their understanding of the world around them. Instruction at Seven Directions emphasizes the development of self-esteem through meaningful self-expression, with social emotional skills valued as strongly as academics, and art and academics are described as thoughtfully melded with respect for each student’s creative spirit and uniqueness. One student shared, “I never thought I would actually love snakes!” according to Natalie, age 11.
