About
Dance with Miss Alice Camps offers dance, choreography, arts and craft projects, games, acting, kids' yoga, ballet, jazz, and hip hop dance. Each week, campers also prepare for a Friday production or show that features what they have been working on during camp.
• Ages: 4–12 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, one-week camps, with camp days running 9am–3pm
• Price: Camp is $475 per week; a $100 deposit until April 30 reserves a spot, with remaining balance due May 1st, 2026
Each listed camp runs Monday–Friday for one week, with examples including June 15–19, July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24, July 27–31, August 3–7, and August 10–14. Early drop-off at 8:45am and pick-up at 3:15pm is available at an added cost of $8 or $16 per day, and there is no late pick-up on Fridays because of the camp performance. All campers must be potty trained to attend summer camp, and programs are described as age-appropriate, creative, and full of fun challenges. Campers are asked to bring a snack, lunch, drink bottle, yoga mat, a stick of sunscreen, hat, and sweater for foggy mornings, and to wear leggings, t-shirts, or tutu dresses that are modest for twirling and stretching, with pink clothing encouraged to help keep the group together. Campers are regularly taken for bathroom breaks in small groups, and each camper receives a seat cover, with soap and a footstool for the sink provided.
Dance with Miss Alice describes its mission as being born from a passion to show children how wonderful they are through the joy of dance, with a vision of a supportive space where creativity, focus, fun, and good dance technique come together so kids feel good about themselves. The program states that it values kindness and progress over competition, leads with heart, and welcomes every dancer with love, support, kindness, and inclusivity, stating that every dancer deserves to feel special, valued, and celebrated for who they are and to have a joyful, fun, confidence-filled experience with dance that will influence them positively. Dance with Miss Alice has been creating “strong bodies, happy hearts & creative minds” since 2015 and notes that Dance with Miss Alice came to life in Los Angeles in 2015. The program is part of an LA dance community that includes West LA, Santa Monica, Mar Vista, Clover Park, and a Topanga Studio at the Topanga Community Center.
The leadership team includes Miss Alice, founder of Dance with Miss Alice, and Miss Dani, who serves as administrator and teacher. Miss Alice earned a Degree in Education from Melbourne University and has created kids’ dance curriculum in both Australia and the USA. Miss Haley graduated with a BA in Dance and Spanish from Loyola Marymount University, Miss Isa was a ballet major at USC School of Arts, Emma earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from AMDA, Miss Jordan earned a Major in Dance and Minor in Theater Arts and is a recent graduate and Dean’s List honoree from Loyola Marymount, and Teacher Cat is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts with over a decade of teaching experience with ages 18 months to 18 years. The program also notes that it offers multiple recital opportunities and uses signature pink canopy tents at its outdoor studio.
Parent feedback includes comments such as a child “absolutely loved the camp experience,” mentioning yoga, “fun, supportive, caring instructors,” learning dance moves to songs from a favorite movie, playground time with friends, and enjoying the “little show on the last day.” Another parent describes it as “such a great way to introduce little kids to dancing,” saying classes are well led, tailored to the age, and that instructors are “lovely,” know how to work with kids, and get them excited, and that they would “definitely recommend Dance with Miss Alice.” A third parent says there “aren't enough stars” to describe the experience for their daughter, and describes the teachers as enthusiastic, kind, and encouraging, with classes and recitals described as age appropriate.
