Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin After-School Programs offer daily activities that include Homework Help, time in a Technology Lab, Arts & STEM projects, and Sports & Games. The program operates during the school year for students in 1st–12th grade, with TK/Kindergarten available at some locations.

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to become caring, productive, responsible adults. Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin is a local organization with 39 Clubs that serve more than 7,500 kids and teens each year and serve over 430,000 meals annually. The organization’s CEO is Jennifer Weiss. Clubs offer programs that support academic success, health and life skills, character and leadership, sports and fitness, and creative expression, and they aim to provide opportunities for meaningful participation among at-risk children and adolescents. Four new locations in Novato opened on October 10 to provide comprehensive after-school programs for local children, and for Novato families in need, Club programs are provided at no cost.
The Novato Unified School District is partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin, and the Novato School Board approved this partnership with a unanimous vote in September. According to Michael Casper, expanded learning opportunities coordinator of the Novato Unified School District, the district and the organization share a vision of supporting qualifying students with enriching, fun, and unique experiences during non-school hours, and he reports that students are having fun in a safe and nurturing environment with friends and trusted adults. CEO Jennifer Weiss states that the organization is grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Novato School District to provide after-school programs to their students and that the programs are designed to help students reach their full potential.
