Santa Rosa Arts Center Classes & Workshops offers specific art activities including Cigar Box Remix and Figure Drawing. The program also includes ongoing gatherings such as Artists In The Round, Creation Station, and a 2nd Sunday Jam Session with Stevie Cornell in the backyard garden, crafting soundscapes of pure improvisation on various instruments with electricity provided. Additional events include a Speakeasy with singers, songwriters, and poets, featuring two 20–25 minute sets of music and poetry followed by an open mic.

• Schedule: Cigar Box Remix classes run Monday or Tuesday June 8 and 9 from 1–4pm, Figure Drawing meets Thursday June 25 from 4–7pm, and regular hours are Thursday–Sunday 11am–3pm; Artists In The Round meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6–7:30pm, Creation Station meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 3–5pm, and the 2nd Sunday Jam Session runs from 1–3pm.
• Price: Cigar Box Remix costs $40 per class; Figure Drawing costs $20 for members and $25 for non-members.

Since 2017, Santa Rosa Arts Center has served as the anchor for the SOFA (South of A) Arts District and is described as an arts and culture destination that exhibits local artists in a spacious and beautiful gallery setting, with beautiful crafts and jewelry, books by local authors, and artworks for sale on the members wall. Santa Rosa Arts Center’s mission is to enrich the cultural experiences of the community by providing arts education, classes for all ages and abilities, exhibit space for local artists, and a venue for performances, literary arts, and events. The center is a Fiscally Sponsored Project of Inquiring Systems, Inc., a California Nonprofit 501c3 Corporation.

The program’s director is Simmon Factor, and the advisory committee includes Suzanne Cuellar, Jain Fairfax Langston, William Haigwood, Rose Wognum-Francis, Kathleen Beltz, Joy Dellas, Joyce Terres, Ralph Broussard, Karen Vanderwolk, Laurie Beth Finkelstein, Robin Allison, and Robin Burgert. Santa Rosa Arts Center is committed to diversifying membership and increasing involvement with Latino, Black, LGBTQ, and other communities. Sponsors at the $1000+ level include Sonoma County Community Investment Program, Recology Sonoma Marin, Jack and Diane Stuppin Fund, Riley Street Art Supply, Eric & Rachel Jones, and Jack Cabot, and patrons at the $250+ level include Summit State Bank, Exchange Bank, Chris and Trayce Beards, Bill Gittins, Rodney Strong Vineyards, Lagunitas Brewery, and Joyride Band.
