Santa Rosa Arts Center Classes & Workshops

Santa Rosa Arts Center Classes & Workshops offers specific sessions including Cigar Box Remix, The Art Lounge, and Figure Drawing. The program also hosts ongoing gatherings such as Artists In The Round and Creation Station, along with music concerts, classes, and Speakeasy events featuring singers, songwriters, and poets.

• Schedule: Cigar Box Remix meets Monday and Tuesday, March 16 and 17, from 1–4pm; The Art Lounge meets Sunday, March 15, from 3–6pm; Figure Drawing meets Thursday, March 26, from 6–9pm; regular hours are Thursday–Sunday, 11am–3pm, with Artists In The Round on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6–7:30pm and Creation Station on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 3–5pm
• Price: Cigar Box Remix is $50 for each class; Figure Drawing costs $20 for members and $25 for non-members

Since 2017, Santa Rosa Arts Center has been the anchor for the SOFA (South of A) Arts District. The center’s mission is to enrich the cultural experiences of the community by providing arts education, classes for all ages and abilities, exhibit space for local artists, and a venue for performances, literary arts, and events. Santa Rosa Arts Center is a Fiscally Sponsored Project of Inquiring Systems, Inc., a California Nonprofit 501c3 Corporation. The center is led by Director Simmon Factor and is committed to diversifying membership and increasing involvement with Latino, Black, LGBTQ, and other communities.

The program features an arts and culture destination with a Corner Store and Members Wall that includes crafts, jewelry, and books by local authors, and it exhibits local artists in a spacious gallery setting. Speakeasy events include two 20–25 minute sets of music and poetry followed by an open mic. Artists In The Round offers a time to share work and dialogue, and Creation Station is a drop-in gathering where participants create their own work with their own materials while spending time with others.
