American Martial Arts Academy offers Taekwondo training that uses a foundation of traditional Korean martial arts and Olympic-style Taekwondo. The program also includes an after-school program with school pickup, homework supervision, Taekwondo lessons, outdoor play, and snack time. Students who want to compete can join the Modern Day Knights competition team for dedicated competition training.

American Martial Arts Academy was established in 1998 and has served the Simi Valley community since 1998. The program offers a Tiny Warriors program for ages 4–7, a Taekwon Kids program for ages 7–12, a Young Olympians program for ages 13–18, and an Action Adults program for ages 18 and up. The curriculum integrates elements of Judo for takedowns and Jiu-Jitsu for ground control and self-defense, and it includes the practice of Christian and biblical principles in training, teaching, relationships with students, and organizational goals. Professional instructors provide structured guidance and encouragement in a safe, structured, and positive training environment that is described as safe and supportive. The program states core values of Loyalty, Respect, Self-Control, Responsibility, and Humility, and it aims to provide a moral, ethical, and spiritual foundation.

American Martial Arts Academy offers a free trial lesson. The program accepts charter funding from Blue Ridge Academy and PEAK Prep Academy. It is affiliated with American Martial Arts Academy and has a dedicated Modern Day Knights competition team of disciplined athletes competing locally, nationally, and internationally. Modern Day Knights is described as one of the most accomplished and the most decorated martial arts competition teams in Ventura County, with regional and national championship titles, countless national medalists, and over a dozen national team members since 2008. The logo is an abstract image of two people kicking high, one in red and one in blue, resembling a flame of passion.
