American Martial Arts Academy

American Martial Arts Academy offers Taekwondo classes and Taekwondo training as the foundation of its program. The program also includes swimming, field trips, park activities, and games as part of its activities. The curriculum integrates elements of Judo for takedowns and Jiu-Jitsu for ground control and self-defense, and it is guided by traditional martial arts values of loyalty, respect, self-control, responsibility, and humility.

American Martial Arts Academy was established in 1998 and has served the Simi Valley community since 1998. The program describes itself as Simi Valley’s Best Taekwondo & Martial Arts School and offers a safe, structured, and positive training environment with professional instructors. It provides structured after-school care with school pickup, homework supervision, Taekwondo lessons, outdoor play, and snack time, as well as a summer camp for kids in grades K–8 that features Taekwondo training, swimming, field trips, park activities, games, and structured fun. The program includes fun, high-energy classes for kids ages 4–7, structured Taekwondo training for kids, a motivating Taekwondo workout for participants with no experience required, and challenging, goal-driven Taekwondo training for teens. The mission of American Martial Arts Academy is to develop strong, confident individuals through high-quality martial arts training that builds character, discipline, and resilience. Every student is treated with respect and encouraged to grow at their own pace, and the program includes the practice of Christian principles in martial arts. The logo is an abstract image of two persons kicking high, one in red and one in blue, which also resembles a flame. The program teaches traditional martial arts in a systematic and scientific way in a safe, supportive training environment.

American Martial Arts Academy has one of the most accomplished martial arts competition teams in Ventura County, known as Modern Day Knights. The team is described as the most decorated team in Ventura County, with regional and national championship titles, countless national medalists, and over a dozen national team members since 2008. The program is proud of its accreditation and affiliation with American Martial Arts Academy and maintains a dedicated competition team of disciplined athletes competing locally, nationally, and internationally.
