The program’s stated mission is to tailor instruction to each student’s physical, mental, and emotional make-up, set a baseline in the first lesson, and plan instruction based on that baseline. The mission explains that instruction is based on teaching “absolutes” rather than a specific style, and that the program emphasizes a positive and fun atmosphere, building self-esteem and a strong positive attitude, teaching the game “the right way,” helping advanced, elite players pursue their goals, and teaching youth players the basics while passing on a passion for the game.

Partners listed by the program include Pocket Radar, Lizard Skins, Pocket Path, No Errors, Clean Fuego, TheRope Bat, CannaDips, Oakley, International Sports Association, Bat Club USA, Velo Tee, Insider Bat, Akadema Pro, Rapsodo, Nokona, and discounts and member pricing are available for Strike One athletes with multiple equipment and training partners.

Parent and player testimonials describe children enjoying the camps and competitions, learning to catch, throw, and field, and returning to future camps. Testimonials also describe coaches working well with different ages, focusing on fundamentals such as stance, balance, and proper path to the ball, and identifying strengths, weaknesses, and mechanical issues to design a developmental plan. One testimonial notes an 11-year-old who enjoys the camps and their competitions, another mentions a child who has attended camps since age 5, and others mention improvements in hitting, confidence at the plate, and increased enjoyment of baseball.
