The Vivid Canvas Art Studio offers personalized art lessons and personalized art classes that focus on 2D fine art mediums. The Vivid Canvas Art Studio operates in a clean and safe studio with a renovated space that has a fresh, modern look and doubled classroom space. The studio is organized with a 15-minute cleaning and organizing period between all classes, and each workstation is fully disinfected before the next group of students arrives. The studio offers a comfortable space for anyone, of any age, to create art.
The instructors at The Vivid Canvas Art Studio are artists who are continuing their art education. Carly Jaffe, the owner and a teacher at the studio, has three AAs from Moorpark College in Studio Arts, Sociology, and Social and Behavioral (as stated in the source). Dana, an art instructor, completed her AA Degree in Studio Arts. The mission of the studio is to inspire and empower through art education, to cultivate a nurturing environment where every student can thrive creatively, and to ensure that each individual feels accomplished and fully expressive in their artistic journey. The curriculum focuses on shapes, lines, colors, and spaces, and guides students through each phase of creation.
In 2019, Carly Jaffe purchased Michelle’s Young at Art in August and rebranded it as The Vivid Canvas. Seven months later, the Covid-19 pandemic forced the studio to close temporarily. When it reopened in late September, the student count went from about 100 students to about 20 students. The following summer, the studio expanded and doubled its classroom space, and today it has approximately 140 students. The studio states that it offers personalized art classes in Simi Valley for students ages 6 and up and is preparing to launch its Digital Program to bring high-quality art instruction to a broader audience.
